Having worked in retail and in the restaurant business during my school years, I have now been working for the McDonald's brand for over 30 years. What started as "marginal employment" during my school years developed more and more into a professional passion. After graduating from high school, I moved into a full-time position as a restaurant management trainee, and after a little over a year, I was allowed to perform many of the duties of a restaurant manager. Since the restaurant was franchised, I worked for franchisees for eight years.
Since 1990, I have been working again for the company itself in Munich. Here I then held the positions of Restaurant Manager, Supervisor (District Manager), Field & Operations Consultant (Franchise Consultant) and Operations Manager (Area Manager for Northern Bavaria) in the Southern Region. In the meantime, I was also Project Lead for the McTrain Restaurants, two McDonald's train restaurants in Intercity trains. Since 2002, I have been working as a Franchise Manager at the company's headquarters in Munich.
